Antonio Ortega Couture

“My vision of couture is in constant evolution.”
In 2001, Antonio let his curiosity take him to Paris to discover the roots of Haute Couture and study at the Chardon Savard design school. He worked alongside the designer Dominique Sirop, who honed the young designer’s attention to detail, allowing him to enhance and refine his knowledge and techniques.
In 2004, he launched his own label, showing his creations in New York, Montreal and Toronto.
Antonio presented his 2014-2015 Fall-Winter collection during the Haute Couture week in Paris.
“Snake: Myth or Reality” featured fluid tailleurs, shapely tops with romantic embroideries and shimmering pleated skirts moiré and layered dresses with a distinctly modern cut.

Subsequent Paris collections sought to innovate both in terms of design and materials:
• Inclusion of human faces in garment and shoe designs,
• Use of new technological materials (waterproof, insulating or reflective)
• 3D printing techniques
Antonio’s style, personifying diversity, joy and assurance, was omnipresent throughout all of his ten Paris haute couture collections: sensuality, elegance, refinement, colours and life. Collections that explore shape, feelings and longing, landscapes, fluidity, gender, modernity as well as the deep roots of humanity.
Antonio Ortega garments have appeared on the red carpets of Cannes and Los Angeles, in Megan Thee Stallion’s video “Body” and in numerous magazines worldwide.
Easy recognizable, his creations oft e feature diagonal lines, abundant openwork and a weightlessness and fluidity in their movement.

After guest appearances at an exclusive event on the Canary Islands and private showings in North America, Europe and the Middle East, Antonio set his sights on the Milan fashion scene with a high-end ready-to-wear collection for 2022-2023.
Living in Montreal but dreaming at the crossroads of several continents, Antonio Ortega continues to design unique clothes that make a person feel free, daring and ready to take on the world.
